I have a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor degree, we well as nearly 10 years of tutoring experience providing individual and small group lessons to students of a wide variety of ages and abilities. I have worked with elementary school students to improve their literacy skills, including young students with learning disabilities and other conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. I have worked with middle school students to improve reading and writing skills, as well as to prepare for tests such as the New York City Specialized High School Examinations or the ISEE. I provide intensive college application support, which I have done both as a freelancer and while working for a boutique NYC after school admissions consulting academy. I offer extensive training and review to prepare for the SAT reading and writing sections, the SAT II English, U.S. History, and World History examinations, and the AP examinations in Art History, Comparative Government & Politics, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, European History, U.S. Government and Politics, U.S. History, and World History. I also offer supplemental instruction in high school coursework to improve grades and performance. I teach writing techniques to students from high school through post-grad, specializing in particular genres of writing that require a specific technique, such as analytical or legal writing. I work individually with prospective law students to tutor for the LSAT examination and advise on applying to law school. I have worked with international students in China, Korea, and Australia seeking admissions to American private high schools and universities via Skype.
