I earned a Ph.D. in Astronomy & Astrophysics from Penn State. I have taught or substitute taught various ASTRO 100 to 400 level courses during my time at Penn State, as well as having tutored students in Math and Physics courses. My teaching philosophy is to instill long-term learning so that my students don't simply figure out homework answers, then have to completely relearn the material for the test. Instead, I strive to help you truly understand the material so that you can build a solid foundation upon which you are able to continue learning.

Another great lesson with Chris! I like that he took the extra time with helping me with the polynomial functions until I thoroughly understood it.
The perfect tutor for my calculus confusion
This session was a continuation of the 28 Mar session; I really like the fact that he takes his time to explain the concepts and he is very patient! I am doing well in my Discrete Math class because of him.
Great tutoring session with Chris; we spent a lot of extra time going over a particular problem and he helped me to understand it in a way that I was able to solve the problem and pass my homework assignment!
