Hello! Thanks for visiting my profile.

I'm Clarisse, a language enthusiast and grammar nerd with a goal to become an English Teacher. I have a BA in French Literature from Sarah Lawrence College, and am currently pursuing a Linguistics & Literacy Associate's degree from CUNY Borough of Manhattan Community College in NYC.

Recently, I completed my TEFL/TESOL Certification training. In my practicum and final steps to my teaching certification, I'm eager to start teaching others English of all levels.

In the previous spring semester of 2019, I was selected as a peer mentor for my Linguistics course called "The Structure of English". Every week, I met with classmates who needed a little extra help on course material when class got a little confusing. Being a grammar nerd, I thoroughly enjoyed helping my classmates understand the complexities and workings of English.

In fact, I am currently working on my goal of teaching English in Spain next summer 2020!
