Hi, I'm a certified tutor and high school teacher with many years of experience; my specialization is in Math and Business. I have a graduate degree from NYU in Financial Risk Engineering and an undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College in Mathematics. I taught in two different high schools for a number of years, in one I taught Mathematics for the grades 9-12th, and in another I taught Biology and Chemistry. I’m still currently teaching mathematics in high school, but not on the full-time basis, I prefer teaching students individually, adapting my teaching style to their needs and characteristics. I've been doing a lot of private tutoring over the years, such as: middle and high school math, chemistry and biology, preparing students for SAT exams, teaching students of college level, teaching programming languages and Excel.
Besides being a teacher, I worked as a financial analyst for a big company for more than two years, where I have accumulated a lot of useful experience, but ultimately I decided to come back to teaching, which I think is my greatest strength.
I love teaching and I get greatest joy from watching my students grow. I’m a very patient and dedicated teacher; I’m very good at explaining difficult concepts in simple terms and I know how to make each tutoring session engaging and enjoyable. I’m looking forward to working with you, helping you accomplish your goals.
