My name is Charlotte. Not a day goes by that one of my clients does not tell me about how helpful my classes were and all the new opportunities they have had since working with me. I am a patient, knowledgeable, focused and certified English Teacher. I graduated from Howard University, with a major in Psychology. I was one of the few undergraduate students to be a co-author of an article in a peer-reviewed journal by the time I graduated. I went on to work in language development research for three and a half years.

English with Charlotte, my business, is dedicated to English users or learners, like you, who want a fun, yet focused environment where they can gain the tools they need to excel. For over a year and a half, I have taught children and adults all over the world, how to become experts in the English language. I have taught nearly 3000 English sessions.

Sessions are available for students beginning in English to more advanced/professional students. I have experience working with students when English is the first language (L1) and second language (L2).

The sessions can focus on PK-6 English Language Arts/Math, Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, Conversation, College Preparation Test Preparation (ACT/SAT) English as a Second Language Test Preparation (TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC).

Sessions can focus on various subjects for early learners including but not limited to English Language Arts, Math and much more.


Book a Reading session with me, if you are ready to: learn and produce letters, words, and sentences; raise your reading level; improve your reading fluency (speed and accuracy); understand the complex text, or become more inspired to read.

Book a Writing session with me, if you are ready to: produce more legible handwriting; effectively express and organize your ideas; reduce grammar, spelling, punctuation, style and voice errors; receive editing and proofreading assistance for papers and essays; or brainstorm and structure a paper for expository, descriptive, persuasive, narrative, research, academic (APA and MLA formats) and professional writings( including resumes and CV).

Book a Speaking session with me, if you are ready to: learn and correct phonics, intonation, stress and pronunciation errors; create fluency in your speech; or reduce anxiety when speaking in public, speaking for interviews or speaking to others in English.

Book a Listening session with me, if you are ready to: listen and understand English speakers; or be able to have meaningful conversations with others.

Book an English as a Second language session with me, if you are ready to: communicate in English with ease and confidence as you travel or move to an English-speaking country; score high on your standardized English exams like TOEFL, IELTS or TOEIC; effectively communicate in English for school, work and career; raise your grade in English class; challenge yourself to reach new heights in your English skills (including grammar, vocabulary, phonics, pronunciation).

Sessions are also able to be geared towards the general improvement of any or all of the areas. I am also prepared to work exclusively on grammar, vocabulary, phonics or pronunciation.
