I've been teaching ESL for 7 years now and I wouldn't give it up for the world. I have worked with students from more than 30 different countries and managed to find common ground with all of them, tailoring my classes to the students' particular needs (and indeed anticipating what they are), be it in ESL or another subject. My students have ranged anywhere from 6 to 65 years old, and I've taught ESL and TOEFL at transnational corporations such as Dow Jones, Severstal, and DLA Piper. I teach Business and Legal English as well as general English and test prep, including TOEFL, SAT, and various UK exams. Despite living in one of the most vibrant cities in the world, New York, I have still found traveling to be one of the most alluring activities. I have been to 49 countries and continue to travel every year. I originally majored in Political Science and Film, so my students and I always have plenty of interesting discussions - be it about culture, technology, or the state of the world today.
