Hi! My name is Christine and I am certified to teach grades K-5. Currently I am a NYC substitute teacher but plan to find a permanent position in the fall. During my time as a substitute I have held multiple long term assignments that required me to plan and implement lesson plans. As a substitute teacher for K-5 I have become very familiar and confident with the GoMath curriculum for those grade levels. I have also become equally comfortable and confident with literacy curriculums such as Teacher's College and Journeys.
Aside from substitute teaching I am also the STEM/Science activity specialist in my after school program. I plan and lead science enrichment activities for grades k-5.
As a tutor and teacher I value patience and understanding. I have worked with many different students in the classroom and one on one and am aware that everyone learns differently.
