I love teaching and tutoring. During my time in undergrad, I was an Anatomy and Physiology tutor and lab TA. After graduating, I joined the Peace Corps where I was a high school science teacher in Kenya, teaching chemistry and biology. I had to become very innovative with teaching some very abstract concepts to students who did not speak English as their native language. I am very patient and can help explain biological and chemistry concepts to even the most uninterested student.
I also have experience working with special needs children and even tutored a student over the summer at her home in first grade reading and math skills. I get great joy out of seeing a student make connections and learn for them self!
