About Raghu

I earned my PhD in organic chemistry at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA. During my PhD, I worked on developing a Web-based online homework program for the undergraduate organic chemistry students to learn and test their knowledge. This work resulted in a publication in the Journal of Chemical Education. I finished my postdoctoral research at the City College of New York. Later, I worked as an Advanced Scientist at Momentive Performance Materials. I am currently working as an adjunct assistant professor.

I have extensive teaching experience (more than 14 years); as an adjunct assistant professor at Bronx Community College, New York; as a lead teaching assistant for advanced organic and advanced inorganic chemistry lab courses and recitation; and as a tutor for several years. I taught classes of more than 100 students. Intermittently, I also taught organic-1 at the City College of New York, New York, USA.

I have been living and working in New York City (as a researcher and as a teacher), one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse cities in the world, so I totally understand that students from different cultural backgrounds have different learning abilities, and I empathize with my students’ needs and adapt myself to serve them the best.

I will be glad to provide any further details you might need. I appreciate your consideration and I look forward to meeting with you.
