About Abigail

My first teaching experience was in high school as a children's tennis coach, and from that I fell in love with teaching and helping people! I graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in East Asian Studies and Creative Writing. With my experience as an Intro Chinese Course Assistant and extensive time spent living in Taiwan and Beijing, I am able to tutor in Beginner's Chinese. Following graduation I taught English as a second language in an elementary school in Taiwan as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. I have many years of experience as a writing tutor and essay editor. I especially love helping students write college application essays. No matter what subject I am teaching, I always make my lessons fun, engaging, creative, and personalized. Each student has different learning preferences, and therefore deserves a lesson they will both enjoy and benefit from. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
