I graduated from Emory University with Highest Honors (Summa Cum Laude) in the Department of Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. Currently, I am an integrated vascular surgery resident at Albany Medical Center and a former Society for Vascular Surgery Student Research Fellow at Emory University and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Year-long Medical Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School. In college, I held a competitive GPA, in addition to participating in several medical and non-medical extracurricular activates.
I have taken many science and math based courses including two semesters of Biology with lab, two semesters of General Chemistry with lab, two semesters of Organic Chemistry with lab, Research Statistics, life science Calculus, Physics and more.
I was an Organic Chemistry lab-teaching assistant for two years and an academic tutor during medical school for two years before my year-long research fellowship. I have been awarded many national research internships, including The National Institutes of Health Summer Internship Program (SIP), Massachusetts General Hospital Summer Research Trainee Program, two-time Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellow, Society for Vascular Surgery Student Research Fellow and a number of institutional-based merit scholarships.
