I am an impassioned educator and leader, proudly from Denver, Colorado! During my last year at the University of Denver, I started tutoring 3rd graders from the same elementary school that I attended! I loved the energy and laughter that children brought to my life, so I joined Teach For America in 2010. I relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, and began teaching 3rd grade. I made it my mission to create a classroom environment where every child loved to learn. Teaching became my life-style and in 2010 I earned The Clark County School District’s New Teacher of the Year award. After teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades for nine years, I decided to become an Instructional Coach. I am always looking for opportunities to laugh and learn with children and have found that the best learning takes place when we are having fun with it! People remember the way you make them feel, so I want every person that I come in contact with to remember that put a smile on their face. Anytime that I can, I make time to travel. I have lived in South Africa and visited Botswana, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
