In high school, I wanted to take German because I was in love with the VW Beetle. My father forced me to take Spanish because he could see into the future. I got good grades, but didn't enjoy the language that much. When I got to the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate, I was required to become proficient in a foreign language to graduate. There was no escaping my destiny! After college, I wanted to become a secret agent and since I was not a scientist, lawyer or an engineer, I decided to become fluent in Spanish. I joined the US Peace Corps. I was sent to Guatemala in Central America. I totally immersed myself in the language and returned to the United States, earned my graduate degree in teaching and was hired as a Bilingual Special Education teacher. In 2011, I became certified to teach Spanish and have dedicated my career to helping others to speak, read, comprehend, and write Español.

Señor Carter has responded well, Mucho gracias
Senor Carter is hands down the best Tutor my son has ever had. He is professional, enthusiastic, engaging and punctual. He took time to really figure out where was son was struggling. Our son is so much more proficient in Spanish and has gained confidence under Senor Carter's instruction. He came up with an individualized plan and we couldn't be happier. Great experience!
