I'm Matt! Before getting my PhD in Chemistry/Materials science, I attended studied chemistry and physics at UMass Lowell and Middlesex Community College in MA. I've seen a wide range of learning and teaching styles from educators with a real passion for teaching. In my approach, I try to work with students to figure out what concepts or steps prove difficult, and determine how to develop their strengths to help them succeed.
I taught general chemistry for a year as part of my graduate degree, and was a volunteer tutor for math, chemistry and physics for 3 years at UMass Lowell, and throughout my graduate work when I could make the time.
