I have an extensive course background in both mathematics and statistics. As an undergraduate I did private one on one tutoring in math. More recently, I have been a substitute teacher at the elementary and middle school levels. I have 2 wonderful school age grandchildren, Further, I have s side "hobby" as a screenwriter and some years ago submitted (and pitched) a script I had for a movie/TV series. Lastly, I consider myself a very creative type - and that serves me well in a teaching context to find ways to bring learning to life and help it to stick.
