I proudly served his country as an Army Military Police Officer. Throughout my military service I also used my Spanish speaking, writing, reading abilities to serve as an interpreter and translator. The Army provided me with the opportunity to travel to many countries around the world. I was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from January 2005 until January 2006. After 13 years of service it was deemed best to be medically retire because I could no longer physically fulfill the job as a Soldier.
During my time in the Military I attended Central Texas College and successfully completed my Associate Degree in 2007. I then attended Excelsior College and in 2012 I successfully complete my Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Spanish and Criminal Justice. As of 2018 I completed my Master of Science in Teaching, in Adolescence Education (focused on Spanish) and Students with Disabilities, Grades 7-12
I retired from the Army in 2013 and I returned to School to take some refresher courses in the field of Education. In 2014, I accepted a position as a long-term substitute teaching Spanish 9-12 for Lampasas High School in Lampasas, TX. In 2015, I attained a Probationary Teaching Certificate and began working at as a Spanish Teacher 9-12 for Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, TX. In the summer of 2016 my family and I relocated from Texas to New Jersey to be closer to the rest of my family.
