About Amy

Hi, my name is Amy Grimm. I am 22 years old and a recent graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Literature. I was also in the Teacher Education Program there specifically for Elementary Ed, but because of personal reasons was forced to withdraw from Student Teaching during my final semester of completing my teaching certification.

However, I have always very much enjoyed working with children and helping them reach their full potential in an engaging and fun way. Whether it is learning to read or learning multiplication, learning should be something you want to do. We all retain information better when we are having fun. That is why I try to motivate my students through rewards for good work and engagement in the lesson, explaining difficult concepts through colorful pictures and 3-D objects, real life examples, and incorporating students' interests in the lesson whenever I can.
