My biggest goals as a tutor are to give students the tools and practice to think as scientists, and to be skilled students. Being a good scientist isn’t about already knowing a lot; it’s about knowing how to look for and use patterns. I love teaching students how to find and apply those patterns.
Because students take so many classes, it is also so important to learn how to learn: how to learn science, and how to be a successful student.
Some of my accomplishments:
My AP students have earned the highest score of 5, at 5 times the national rate
