I have 10 years teaching experience at an overseas American international school with students from 30 different countries, so i have experience teaching students from diverse racial, national, religious backgrounds.
I also have done individual and small group tutoring for 13 years. I tutored U.S. and World History, Civics, Geography, Social Studies, and Business, as well as Study Skills and Exam Preparation. I charge on a Sliding Scale, between $30 to $40/hour, depending on a person's financial capacity.
I live in SPRING LAKE, but can also tutor in the FAYETTEVILLE, SANFORD, CAMERON and LILLINGTON areas. I can tutor either In Person at a local nearby Library, at your home, or Online.
I have a Master's Degree in Education and a Teaching License from California State University. I also have my North Carolina Teaching License for Middle and High School levels, in Social Studies.
I am retired, after the last 20 years of owning and managing import-wholesale-retail businesses, and want to continue teaching and tutoring young people to help them improve and excel in their inherent potentials.
