I have a Bachelor's in English and a minor in French from Webster University and currently reside in St. Louis, where I am working on a novel and short story collection. I specialize in reading, writing, essay, and French language help, but have basic knowledge in most academic subjects. My approach to tutoring is to be patient and receptive. I want to make sure I give the student a chance to do the most work she can on her own before I step in to help, which encourages the student to challenge herself and actually learn the material, not let me do all the work, and also allows me to gauge what specific areas the student needs tutoring help with.
