My credentials include a specialist of education degree in special education, a master’s degree in special education, a bachelor’s degree in music with a minor in psychology. I hold current Minnesota K-12 licenses to teach students with emotional or behavioral disorders and autism spectrum disorders. I have 12 years of direct instructional experience in several education settings.
My experience highlights my commitment to education, showcases my expertise in differentiating instruction, and demonstrates my communication and leadership skills. Being a highly adaptive and versatile educator, I have enjoyed the opportunity to teach a diverse group of students. These experiences have helped me become a well-rounded and compassionate educator, who takes each student’s unique goals, needs, and interests into account and creates effective lesson plans and activities to accommodate them.
My greatest capability is facilitating all styles of learners. I develop multi-sensory lesson plans to meet the need of auditory, visual, tactile, and kinesthetic learners. Furthermore, I make certain that each student receives individualized praise and encouragement, ensuring that he or she remains motivated and does not become frustrated.
