I believe that students care more about how much the teacher cares than how much they know. Music should be taught organically with performance being the main focus. This is accomplished through using the same emersion techniques utilized for learning languages in general and learning our own native tongues as children. There is no one size fits all curriculum because each student has differentiation needs that address various learning styles and capacities.
