Hi - Matthew here. Currently, I am working on my Dissertation for a Doctorate in Education. I have to say, I feel so grateful to be doing this. I graduated from high school not being able to read or write too well, spent ump-teen years in under graduate college, and finally earned my first degree in 1994. After graduation, I decided to become a teacher to help that one student (yeah, I know it's a cliché) find their way and experience success in school. I am a certified special education teacher with a specialization in dyslexia, executive functioning skills (ADD/ADHD), study skills, etc.. I generally let a student know if I can help and if I feel I can, after one or two sessions, I will ask you if you think I am a good fit for your needs. No harm, no foul if you think I am not what you need, my primary goal is for you to find the best tutor resource possible. So, if you struggle in school with a learning difference that impacts your academic learning, I may be able to help. If you are looking for a tutor who will help you get the grade for that one test, I will surely take your money, NOT! I take my role seriously to help you find success and reach your true potential. Not sure if this matters in your decision, but I also sit on two school boards where I make sure the student voice is heard and we make policies to make learning about you!
