About Conlan

I was born and raised in America, but in the 9th grade, I moved to Berlin, Germany. There, I learned German as a total beginner. It was hard. But I learned a lot. Not just the difference between kennen and wissen, but also what strategies work the best for foreigners learning the language. I use those strategies in my position as a Learning Assistant in a 3000-level German class at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where I further develop my pedagogy and communication skills. I'm motivated to truly helped students on their language-learning journey:)
