For two decades I've been working in the areas of video production, training, and education in different ways. In that time, I've become a professional Adobe Premiere editor and videographer. I'm also fairly skilled with Lectora and competent with most of the various software used to create web-based training (WBT) as well as After Effects. I was previously an academic in Political Science and still know enough about government and politics to help with many questions.
I have shot and edited (with Premiere) marketing, training, and event video for many clients over the last 10 years including Johns Hopkins University, T. Rowe Price, Ciena, and University of Maryland. I have long experience doing my own sound and lights and can explain both. I've also taught week-long Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro 7 classes several times. I have formal training in video production from Howard Community College and the NPPA TV News Storytelling Workshop.
I have a Doctorate degree in Government and Politics. I taught college courses in American Government at Stevenson University and was teaching assistant on other courses including International Politics multiple times at University of Maryland College Park. Much of my graduate coursework was on International Relations and my dissertation was about media, technology, and public opinion about war. I got my B.A. in Political Science and minored in history while taking a large number of courses in moral philosophy and political philosophy (political theory) as well.
I love helping people understand things better so they can do things better. I look forward to helping you.
