About Me: I am a licensed educator with ten years of public and private school teaching experience providing exceptional data-driven and result-oriented Reading, Phonics, Writing, Math, executive functioning and social skills services. I have a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Special Education, Moderate Disabilities. I am a Massachusetts licensed teacher for Moderate Disabilities (PK-8), Early Childhood Students with and without Disabilities (PK-2), Elementary (1-6), Mathematics (1-6), and Mathematics (5-8). I am also certified by the Department of Early Education and Care as a Preschool Teacher and Infant/Toddler Teacher. Most recently I taught at the university level as an Instructor for students with diverse learning challenges. I am a member of the Northeast Association of Learning Specialists and have a passion for education and helping individuals reach their fullest potential.
Skills and Services: I am skilled in designing and administering effective standards-based differentiated instruction for typically developing students, struggling students, special education students, English Language Learners, and Title 1 students. I am experienced working with individuals with diverse learning disabilities including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disabilities, Executive Functioning Disorder, and Developmental Delays. I teach to students’ strengths and interests to foster a love of learning. I use student data, research-based programs, progress monitoring, and neuropsychological and standardized evaluations to drive instruction. I collaborate with school districts and families to provide seamless curriculum instruction, homework strategies, concentration on IEP goals and objectives, remediation, and/or summer instruction, in accordance with student needs.
