I have a background in tutoring dating back to 2007 when I was a volunteer for Think Together at an elementary in Norwalk, CA for a year before transitioning into a volunteer position as a teacher’s assistant for Religious Education. Then, in 2011 I continued my volunteer work for the next two years with Link Crew at Eleanor Roosevelt High School tutoring and mentoring the freshman ensuring increased academic and social success, as their self-confidence soared alongside their grades. I enrolled in the English program to pursue my Bachelor’s of Arts in 2013, at which point I formalized my passion by taking a course, Writing Tutoring Theory and Practice. In 2015 I returned to the classroom to apply my sharpened skills, taking a position as College Intern with Pomona Unified School District and loving it.
As an added bonus, my personal philosophy is "I cannot be what I aught to be until you are what you aught to be" --MLK. I love to serve my clients and see them acquire skills for academic success. I have an extensive background in human relations, therefore my cultural sensitivity and communication skills are well-defined. I am ready for you if you’re ready for me. I hope to hear from you.
