About Eric

Eric spent so much time with a nose in a book growing up that his parents were afraid he'd end up New York City's most well-read homeless man. Fortunately, he looked up from a book long enough to head off to University of Chicago, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, with the highest GPA in the philosophy department. Also at UChicago, Eric was Dean's List all four years, and his senior thesis won the prize for best essay in practical philosophy.

Since college, Eric has taught and tutored in private, public, and charter schools from Philadelphia to Chicago to Colorado. He taught middle school philosophy and high school English for five years, as well as the SAT and LSAT. As far as his own testing achievements go, Eric scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and the 97th on the LSAT. As a tutor, Eric helps students find confidence and motivation in themselves, allowing them to reach their potential.

On a more serious note, while in college, Eric convinced the University of Chicago to give him $3,000 in his attempt to bake the world's largest muffin (a failure) and $2,000 for a pig roast (an epic success). While not baking muffins and roasting pigs, Eric loves to hike, bike, and bake sourdough bread.
