I am an experienced college, middle, and high school educator with a demonstrated history of teaching excellence, student empowerment, and community service. I currently serve as an aide at a local school, in English and Maths, with demonstrated effectiveness at helping middle school students to raise their reading comprehension levels and test scores. I also teach a small high school Latin I class, for which I hold an Indiana Charter School license. I have studied and taught the Latin language for most of my adult life, including in the course of my dissertation work, a translation of a work of medieval theology. Skilled in leading small, discussion-based and service-based courses with diverse students in Philosophy, Interfaith Leadership, and Social Justice, with a focus on student engagement and development of core skills, I served as Professor of Theology at Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, Indiana, for fifteen years. I worked one on one with students on the development of core skills, including writing, public speaking, and time management.
