About Dawn

Motivation, organization and study strategies are often the biggest hurdles in mastering new or difficult content. I provide my clients with the tools they need to overcome these hurdles. Not only do I supplement information provided in the classroom to help each client make sense of the current material they are learning, I teach my clients to learn to do this for themselves in the future as a long-term solution based on their specific learning styles and preferences.

In addition to tutoring, I have spent 10+ years as an educator including as:

ESL Teacher both domestically and overseas serving Chinese and Korean students aged 10-20 years old

Assistant Teacher in a therapeutic day school serving exceptional students aged 6-16 on the Autism spectrum

Cultural Coordinator serving high school foreign exchange students from 65+ countries around the world

Youth Leadership Advisor serving high achieving scholars aged 10-15

I am currently offering my services to K-12 and 1st year college students in English, ESL, literature, grammar, essay/creative writing, history, science, vocabulary, test preparation, group tutoring, study skills/organization, special needs/learning disabilities, and more! I am located in DuPage County and am willing to meet with clients in a location that best suits their needs. In-home tutoring may be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
