I am a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) currently providing acute, chronic, and episodic care to school aged children. I have been a FNP since 2016 and a Registered Nurse (RN) since 2002.
In 2017, I organized and led a small group mentoring program out of my local church where several teen driven issues such as bullying, peer pressure, self esteem, etc were discussed and addressed on a weekly basis for girls aged 10-18 years.
Currently, I mentor girls grades 6-12 in a STEAM based program once monthly to not only introduce them to STEAM careers but to also raise awareness that girls can succeed in this fast-growing, ever-changing world of STEAM.
Also, I tutor school aged children at my local church once per week in building strong writing habits.
I have one daughter 13 years of age of whom I enjoy spending time with doing activities such as: cooking, baking, arts and crafts, playing board games, traveling, etc.
