Hi everyone!
My name is Diana, I am a University of Illinois - Urbana/Champaign graduate, and I'm currently at Northwestern University as a lab manager and research technician.
I graduated with a major in molecular and cellular biology with minors in chemistry and sociology. Because of my strong research background, I am very proficient in tutoring for biology and chemistry. As an undergrad, I also worked with students in an academic setting so teaching is not a stranger to me.
My methods revolve around engaging you in your learning. My priority is not to jam as much information in your head as possible, but to help you truly gain conceptual understanding of the topic at hand. I want to develop a relationship with my students as well, because I believe every person has their own way of learning and I strive to tailor my own teaching methods to each student.
In my free time, I like to game (I'm a nerd), read, and weightlift. I also have been playing the piano for over 12 years, and am currently self-learning guitar.
I hope you will consider me as a tutor! I want to show you that my hard work ethic and determination to help others will help you achieve your academic goals.
