I am a patient, compassionate individual who understands the needs of hardworking students. I became a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in 2014 and I graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology in 2017. I am currently in the process of obtaining state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
I currently work as a MISA (mentally ill/substance abuse) counselor, providing group and individual counseling to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. I have both educational and hands-on experience with the field of psychology.
My experience has taught me patience and allowed me to gain the skills needed to teach such as explaining concepts in easy to understand terms. I am very hands-on with my tutoring, providing visual as well as written learning. I have great study habits and am excited to pass them on to those I teach.
Although, my focus is Psychology and mental health, I love reading and writing and would love to help you succeed in these subjects as well. I am patient and caring and feel that, if we work together, we can accomplish your goals.
I am an excellent, proficient writer and excelled in both reading and writing in graduate school. I’ve always done very well in English and writing and feel that I have the ability to help anyone succeed.
I currently tutor a 6th grader in science, social studies, language arts, and math and have seen great results with improvements to his grades.
