I am a native English speaker with over 15 years of living in Greater China. I started learning Chinese in high school and earned a BA and MA in Asian Studies.
I believe my unique background can give American students a quicker sense of progress through the emphasis on speaking and listening. My students usuakky have a better grasp of the language as I am able to explain the nuances and differences of this non-Romance language in a way a non native English speaker cannot. I was once a beginner student myself and my own learning benefits my students.
