I am currently (mostly) a SAHM to two little boys. I am also the teacher aide in the nursery class at the Co-op school my sons attend. I have a background in Secondary Education & Mathematics. Before staying home, I was a teacher at Huntington Learning Center. I taught verbal & math to 1st-12th graders, one on one & in 4:1 group settings. I also tutored ACT in math & science. Privately tutoring & at Huntington I worked with students on the Autism spectrum, with ADD/ADHD, fine motor skill delays, & other learning disabilities. I was not just homework help with students. I was there to continue their education, assist them in figuring out how they learn best, teach them time management skills, as well as study skills.
I love being able to stay home. However, I have also always loved tutoring. I am looking for a part-time position where I can, once again, use my passion for teaching in a real way. I have a full resume with references upon request.
