I have been teaching High School Math within for 20 years, and I have been tutoring students for 18 years. I have a Master's degree in Mathematics, a 2nd Master's degree in Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. I am certified to be a school administrator, but I stay in the classroom because students need me. It is my mission for students to be better prepared for standardized tests and to be better prepared for learning and understanding mathematics classes that they are taking in school. I enjoy teaching the student as a learner of math rather than teaching math to the student. I like to facilitate learning and to ensure that the math is applicable to the students' everyday life experiences. Math should be fun. I also like to teach students about developing their mindsets into a growth mindset. Your mindset is really important to your success.
In addition to my teaching experience, I am the author of the upcoming book “Revamping the Teaching and Learning Experience: 8 Research-Based Strategies for Increasing School Performance”. I have a New York Times Top 10 Best Selling Author who will write my foreword. Also, although my book is not finished yet, I already have a publisher. I decided to write this book because I have a passion for helping teachers and schools improve so that students can be more successful. Students deserve more from educators.
I look forward to helping you enhance your math skills. You can do it, and it is my job to make sure that you are successful. No matter what your experiences have been in the past, I know for sure that you will be successful in math. I am excited to help you. Contact me as soon as possible.
