Learning ASL can be a fun experience and with the dynamic teaching approach of instructor Dano Kaufmann, this course will inspire students of any age to learn ASL. A good teacher must practice being a good listener and communicate clearly so that students can understand key concepts distinctly. Displaying competency and patience, while exploring different teaching methods that can aid in achieving language development, I pride myself on the ability to identify the strengths of ASL students with regards to sign expressivity and receptivity. I encourage all my students to take their accountability seriously when it comes to practicing and performing ASL narratives. I am passionate about ASL and my capacity to generate a passion in my students. ASL is the basis for the culture and climate of the Deaf world and since language is based on culture, I encourage supplemental studies of Deaf culture in America.
