My name is Elias Meana. I am currently living in a small costal town in Spain called Altea. For the past two years I have been teaching math and physics A-Level (British equivalent of APs) courses at Elian's British School La Nucia. I have experience teaching a wide range of subjects from basic algebra and middle school science to differential equations and multivariable calculus. I hold two bachelors degrees in math and in physics from the University of Georgia. This year I am beginning a masters in advanced mathematical research and computer engineering with the intention of later pursuing a doctorate degree. While I was studying at the University of Georgia, I worked with a quantum computation research group where I studied the intricacies of the controversial (at the time) D-Wave quantum computer. In addition, I have participated in biochemical and bioinformatical research as consultant and eventually as the computer programmer. The study was presented at a FEBS conference in France. I'm extremely passionate about math and science in general. As a teacher I focus on trying to present things using logic and intuition versus teaching a list of rules. I'm very geometrically minded so I draw a lot of pictures!!!
