Hello, and what a pleasure to meet you! I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Spelman College where I graduated with honors. I have over 20 years of experience teaching both children and adults in various subjects, but I specialize in tutoring English, Spelling, Social Studies, and Reading at the elementary, middle and high school levels. I also specialize in teaching successful Customer Service principles to adults. I am experienced in tutoring online as well as in person. A special joy for me is teaching English to Chinese Students online.

I absolutely LOVE teaching and firmly believe that “TO TEACH IS TO TOUCH A LIFE FOREVER"! My goal is to FULLY-IMMERSE the student in the educational process for maximum-impact learning. I take the time to gauge my student’s educational level and learning style so that I can create a more “personalized” learning experience.

Every person deserves the best possible educational experience, so my mission is to make learning FUN and ENGAGING. Therefore, I incorporate practical activities and relevant exercises into the lessons to impart knowledge, measure comprehension, and aid in the retention process.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, watching movies, hanging out at the park, planning special events, community service, and working on my songwriting projects.
