Elementary Math and English (K-8) tutor

About Elizabeth

I am a graduate of Georgia State University (GSU) with a Master's of Science in Geography. My favorite thing about geography is the way that it is connected to almost every other subject we learn. Since graduating from GSU, I have worked as a tutor, teacher, mentor, and permitting assistant. All of these experiences allowed me to practice my geography skills while helping people.
In tutoring students, I use conversation and questions to draw out prior knowledge. I also use techniques that not only teach the material but lead the student to understand the learning process. This enables them to be confident in future independent work. I prefer to work together with the student and guardians to have a successful experience.
