Algebra 1 and Elementary Math tutor

Teach the subject in a fashion that the student can understand and apply. Courteous and have a friendly personality so my student feels comfortable. Able to figure out why the student is having a hard time with a subject, and address that issue exactly.
I am extremely patient, and a good listener. My role is to help my students, help themselves. Tutoring is the short term answer to help the student gain confidence and learning skills, and implement tasks on their own.

I graduated with a degree in K-6 Elementary Edu, and a BAS in Business Supervision and Mgmt. I taught third grade math at Beacon Cove Elementary for a year. Not only do I have 4 kids aging 4-16 whom I help on a daily basis with all subject areas, but I have been tutoring since I started college in the Math and Reading Labs since 2007. Tutoring is not only learning what a teacher assigns, but a way for me to give students self-confidence, and succeed in every area of life! Math is my subject of expertise, as I am not fluent in Spanish I speak very little but very much know how to follow the curriculum as 2 out 4 of my kids are in Spanish and I have tutored Spanish Speaking students to learn English.

For the past 9 months I have been tutoring English/Reading/Language Arts and Mathematics from the 1st grade level to the 10th grade level of intensely. My new found passion for teaching Language Arts, and reading comprehension have widely expanded and I am proud to say my students are succeeding immensely! I believe with my expertise as a certified tutor and previous teacher I can teach anything as long as I do my part as a teacher!!
