Hi, my name is Ms. Veronica. I have been tutoring for a year and teaching for two and a half years before I began tutoring. I have my Master in Arts from the University of Phoenix (online) in Education/Special Education. Getting this degree helped me have the knowledge and understanding to become a teacher and tutor. I have four children, 2 are gifted/talented, 1 is developmentally delayed, and 1 is “normal”. My two youngest children are in the same grade. Thanks to my education, experience, and raising my children with varying needs I have the skills and tools to tutor students with a variety of needs and abilities.
I began my teaching career in 2019 during my student teaching working with 2nd/3rd grade students in language arts and mathematics. After, during my first year of teaching I also worked with 2nd/3rd grade students in language arts and mathematics. For my second year of teaching I worked with 6th, 7th, 8th, and 2nd grade students in mathematics and 2nd and 5th grade students in language arts.
Students need to learn. Students need to know that their educator cares for them, their struggles, their progress, and their success. Students need structure, repetition, information, knowledge, skills, tools, and resources. Learning involves the whole body. Students need timely feedback to improve.
