I recently graduated with a Master's degree in International Relations and Public Administration (Summa Cum Laude - 4.0 GPA) from Liberty University and I will begin my 2nd Master's degree at Georgetown University during the Fall 2020 semester. My undergraduate degrees were in Latin American Studies and International Studies. I speak Portuguese (Native Proficiency) and Spanish (Professional Proficiency). I have published research and received multiple awards throughout my professional career.
I have 3 years of tutoring and 1 year of teaching experience working with middle school, high school, and college students. I also have experience in teaching students with language barriers and those from multiple cultural backgrounds and those with a language barrier. Besides teaching and tutoring students, I also have extensive experience training employees on the area of health and security from multiple industries. I enjoy passing on what I have learned to help people develop their skills.
Some students learn by watching videos, others by reading or drawing. I am strong believer in Kolb's Theory of Learning Styles; therefore, I tailor my teaching based on your style of learning. My previous students learned very differently from one another, so I used multi-sensory approaches in both one-to-one sessions and group excises to help with discussions and explanations. Not only will I adapt to your learning style, I will also help you improve your study skills and critical thinking.
