I am currently a senior at FAU expecting to graduate with honors in psychology. I like to learn about my students and what their interests are. The best way to learn is to make it adaptable, fun, and interesting. I specialize in study skills and test prep/exam tips while utilizing learning styles and personal interests to help ensure success.
A little about myself:
I was born in Mississippi and went to Oak Grove High School. I did play trombone and baritone in a 5-star marching band (sorry, it's been years since I've played otherwise I would teach!) and was also in our award-winning theater program. I have participated in several community productions as well as a production my class presented at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Prior to high school, I played baseball and basketball.
In addition to school, my siblings are one of my driving forces. I am the oldest of 6 and a First generation college student - so, i want to set the example for my siblings to follow.
I KNOW how frustrating school can be or those state exams or that paper or ... or... or... everything all at once. Relax. Breathe. With my help, we will be able to find a school-life-(work?) balance in which I am willing to dig deep with determination while focusing on how to maintain interest in a topic so information is retained while helping you keep a positive attitude through any frustrations. Any improvement is better than you were yesterday. So, don't get discouraged!
I hope to be working with you soon!!
