Get to know me! My name is Sadie! I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida, biomedical sciences major in the pursuit of medical school. So I have extensive knowledge in mathematics and science (my favorite)! Through my experiences as a student and tutor, I realize that each person takes in information differently whether it is hands-on, verbal, or written. I believe I have the flexibility and knowledge to adapt to each students way of learning. I enjoy one on one tutoring being that I am capable of assessing the strengths and weaknesses of a student immediately and achieving their goals. I like to have the student set a goal as well as the parent so everyone is engaged and when the goals are met, it is recognized. I would love to have the opportunity to offer a student the desire to learn because struggling with a subject can be frustrating. Through my desire to learn I believe I can successfully pass on my enthusiasm and knowledge to another student!

- Tutoring Experience 8+ years

- I frequently tutor peers, children, high school and college students. I was a member of a math tutoring club: Mu Alpha Theta.

I was a Nanny for two children, which required help with homework in advanced courses daily.

I was the head t-ball coach in charge of three teams which was a total of about 30 children. The children ranged from ages three to six. I not only taught them the essentials of t-ball and teamwork but also the quintessence of core values. At the end of the season, each child learned personal growth, responsibility, confidence, encouragement, trust, and honesty. Most importantly we had a lot of fun! Positive reinforcement is extremely important in learning and I believe this can create motivation and the desire to learn.

I also lifeguard and teach swim lessons! I start as young as six months to 70 years old. So I am a certified swim instructor as well as CPR, first aid, oxygen, and AED certified. Through swim lessons, I, have learned to be very alert and responsive. I have also learned that each child had their own way of interacting and learning with others so I have adopted the skills to adapt quickly and make a connection with each child. I am very fortunate to have patience and compassion because these are the very characteristic traits needed to be a great tutor!
