My name is Aurelian O., and I have been working as a science teacher at a Charter High School since August 2013. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering in June 2001. I graduated "magna cum laude" from Florida International University with a Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering . I teach biology, chemistry and life science. I tutor General Chemistry at college level.
In my biology and chemistry classes, I prepare students to succeed in their college biology and chemistry classes. I provide students with an introduction to chemistry and biology. After completing my biology class, students should be prepared to take either chemistry or physics as their next science class.
I have Professional Teacher Certification in biology and chemistry 6-12.
In all of my classes, I strive to teach students how to think scientifically. I think that one of the most important skills that students can gain from one of their science classes is scientific reasoning. This is a skill that should be used in our everyday lives, regardless of our career choice.
