Tutoring is what education should be about. The student, the teacher, working, creating and exploring the world of Mathematics. All questions are heard and answered. All children can learn but just in their own way.
My name is Harriet Rubinstein and I am a retired classroom Algebra. Middle grades and Elementary tutor. As a master teacher and the opening Department Head, I ran the math department of Sawgrass Springs Middle School.
As competition Coach of Mathounts teams, we went to state competitions 15 times. Four Students went to National MathCounts in Washington, DC 4 times.
My students are important to me. We work through all difficult situations. I made sure they understand before we finish the lesson.
In 2002 I was the teacher of the year at Sawgrass Springs Middle School. I went on to become a finalist for Broward County Teacher of the year.
I am an excellent teacher. It is not about awards but about the presentation of the lesson. Do the children understand?
Parents, students, and the tutor will work this through and make it happen!!!
