But it usually isn't. I am a former semi-retired attorney who practiced civil law for over 15 years. I know that law school can be daunting and challenging but it can also be enjoyable if you have a solid plan in place for each subject and class. Not only do I tutor students in almost every law school subject such as Evidence, Contracts, Tort, Civil Procedure, Legal Writing, etc., but I also help students create study plans, outlines, test preparation tools and employ techniques to (hopefully) make the process more enjoyable.
I have a JD from Pepperdine School of Law and a Political Science Bachelor's degree. Law school requires specific critical and analytical reasoning skills rather than just rote memorization and regurgitation of information. I hope to instill these skills during tutoring sessions so that we are not simply building skills for one particular subject but also developing your abilities in all law school endeavors.
