Elementary Math and English (K-8) tutor

About Alexander

Hello Potential student. My name is Alexander Simon. I am a dual certified teacher in both History and Social Studies as well as TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of other languages. I have taught and tutored students from Kindergarten through 12th Grade and I have also worked with adults. My teaching an tutoring experience has been in both Public and Independent School as well as working for a private non-profit organization and private one one one tutoring. Currently, I am an ESL Tutor for the Stamford Public Schools as well as the Educational Outreach Coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford. I mostly work with students in 4th and 5th Grade at this time but as I mentioned I have and can teach students from as long as Kindergarten all the through adults. My main subjects are any subject of Social Studies, any kind of English, and Language Arts including, reading, reading comprehension, writing, grammar etc. I can d this for English Language Learners and anyone who wants to improve in these categories. While I do not have a great expertise in Science, I do have an interest and I can certainly help up to the middle school level. I can also help with Math through Elementary School. Although, I am certified in Connecticut, I have experience teaching Social Studies in New York State, including American History and American Government as well as Street Law and World History.
