You can call me Soluna. I am an ambitious scientist with two years experience as a tutor at MiraCosta College in the STEM Center where I have tutored group learning sessions and one-on-one. I have conducted research in biochemistry at University of California San Diego in 2017 and organic chemistry at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2018. I have presented this chemistry research at three different conferences and won 1st among all categories including public speaking and depth of research at one of them. Not only am I skilled at tutoring STEM subjects from middle school to college, I have real world experience to bring to the table including: applying to college, writing resumes and cover letters, and finding opportunities to conduct research as an undergraduate. I compassionately understand the struggles women and minorities face in the STEM fields and am a kind cheerleader for all of those I work with. I know you can do it! We can get there together!
